The Golden Gophers, despite scoring a school-record 578 points, finished second behind three-time team champion Indiana (821 points).
Minnesota athletes were awards the two individual Big Ten awards given out at the Championships. Jillian Tyler wins Swimmer of the Championships, Kelci Bryant won Diver of the Championships.

Jillian Tyler won both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, the latter in 2 minutes, 7.11 seconds is a Big Ten, Big Ten Championship and Minnesota record. It is also the second-fastest time in the nation this season.
Kelci Bryant won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving titles for the second straight year.
