For a YMCA meet, while there is competition between the kids, it is easiest for me to put performances in relation to time standards. USA Swimming has time standards by age group. The standards are grouped into categories from quickest, Zone, to Champ (CH), A, B, & lastly C.
In the Girls 10 & Under 100 Yard IM Lauren Whyte, Natalie Marg, Morgan Drazkowski, and Sarah Broghammer all swam solid C times. Returning swimmer Carina Dretske won the event swimming very nearly a B time.
The Boys 10 & Under 100 Yard IM saw Andrew Arnold swim a good C time at 1:49.11.
The Girls 11-12 200 Yard IM saw a great swim out of Morgan Whyte with an “A” time of 2:58.08.
The Girls 10 & Under 50 Yard Freestyle saw Daniela Wolfe, Eden Nibbelink, Morgan Drazkowski, and Jessica Kohner all swim C Times.
Returning swimmer Alexa Morescki touched in 5th just outside the “C” standard.
The Boys 10 & Under 50 Yard Freestyle saw Daniel Rohde win with a “B” time of 35.63 and Andrew Arnold finish second just 0.07 outside of the “B” standard. Jack Conway and Sam Gresham both finished with “C” times.
The Girls 11-12 50 Yard Freestyle was won by Hanna O'Neill just missing an “A” time by 0.8 seconds in 30.45. Alexandria Arnold finished 2nd with a low “B” time of 31.51. 3rd was Brianna Beseler just 0.09 off a “B” time with 34.18. Alex Nutter, Kimberly Larsen, Stephanie Roberton and Nina Sugaya all swam “C” times.
The Girls 13-14 100 Yard Freestyle saw Emily Thurow win with a good “B” time of 1:11.51
The Boys 13-14 100 Yard Freestyle had Kyle Schneider win swimming 0.71 outsied an A time in 1:06.80. Returnign swimmer Aaron Whyte also swam well touching second in a low “B” 1:07.0. Hodd Gorman finished 3rd with a solid “B” as well in 1:08.88.
The lone swimmer in the Women’s 15 & Over 100 Yard Freestyle was newcomer Lael Lemire swimming a “C” time of 1:21.15.
The Men’s 15 & Over 100 Yard Freestyle saw returning veteran and Winhawk swimmer Josh Danzinger swim a near “A” time of 56.44.
The Girls 10 & Under 50 Yard Backstroke top three finishers Lauren Whyte, Sarah Broghammer and Azrielle Lemire all had solid “C” times.
The Boys 10 & Under 50 Yard Backstroke saw Daniel Rohde win in a great “B” time of 43.88.
The Girls 11-12 50 Yard Backstroke had Morgan Whyte win swimming just short of an “A” time in 35.69. Brianna Beseler fininshed second in a good “C” time of 43.24.
The Girls 13-14 100 Yard Backstroke was won by Lasha Lemire in 1:57.57 and Megan Schossow took a close second.
The Boys 13-14 100 Yard Backstroke saw a 1-2 finish of good “C” times by Aaron Whyte and Hodd Gorman.
The Girls 10 & Under 50 Yard Breaststroke had Carina Dretske and Eden Nibbelink swimming “B” times finishing 1-2.
The Boys 10 & Under 50 Yard Breaststroke saw Sam Gresham win in a “C” time of 53.04. Jack Conway finished second.
Girls 11-12 50 Yard Breaststroke had Alexandria Arnold win with a solid “C” time of 43.45 with Nina Sugaya finishing second also swimming a “B” time.
The Girls 13-14 100 Yard Breaststroke had Emily Thurow win with a “C” time of 1:40.68
The Boys 13-14 100 Yard Breaststroke saw Kyle Schneider swim a “C” tiem of 1:35.62
The Women 15 & Over 100 Yard Breaststroke had Lael Lemire win
The Men’s 15 & Over 100 Yard Breaststroke had Josh Danzinger swim a “B” time of 1:12.69.
The Girls 11-12 50 Yard Butterfly saw Hanna O'Neill win wit ha low “B” time of 33.37.
The Men 15 & Over 100 Yard Butterfly saw Josh Danzinger swim an “A” time of 1:07.39
