This Saturday sees the Saint Mary's Men's & Women's swim teams head off to the Twin Cities for the Augsburg Pentathalon being held at St. Catherine's Butler Center Pool, St. Paul, Minn, there is an 11AM start.
Saturday also kicks off the Winona YMCA Winfins season with a YMCA National Virtual meet at the WSHS pool at noon. YMCAs from all over the country will be swimming that day and all of their results will be "pooled" to derive results as if they had been swimming against each other. Much like the SWIMS database used in the USA Swimming program, the pooled database will allow YMCA swimmers to see where they stack up against other YMCA swimmers around the country.
The Winona YMCA Winfins are another great feeder program for the WSHS Team and they are sporting a roster of 50 plus kids for their winter session.
This will be the first of 3 home meets and a total of 9 meets for the Winfin season, culminating with the State Meet in February and the MYAS Regional Meet in March, both held at the Univ of MN Aquatic Center.
