Swimming this weekend

Lots of swimming going on this weekend.

The Winona Water Wizards head to Red Wing for 2 Days to compete in the Red Wing River Splash.

The Winona Winfins head to Mankato Saturday to swim against the Mankato YMCA.

The Winona SHS Boys Swimming & Diving Team heads back to Austin, this time to compete in the Packer Invitational.

Gustavus Adolphus will be hosting both Hamline and St. Thomas in a Triangular meet Saturday.

Local College National Rankings:

College NCAA Division I

University of MN Men ( with former Winhawk Matt Papenfuss) are ranked 13^th in NCAA Division I.

Should be a great Big 10 Meet at the U of MN in February. Ohio State is ranked 7^th, Michigan is 8^th, Indiana is 14^th, Purdue is 21^st, Iowa is 22^nd.

University of MN Women ( with former Winhawk Abbey Staats) are also ranked 13^th in NCAA Division I.

The Big 10 Meet for them should be a barn burner. After MN in 13^th come Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, in 14, 15, & 16 respectively. Ohio State is 19^th, Purdue is 20^th.

NCAA Division II

St. Cloud State’s Women's Team (former Winhawk Aimee Peterson's team)  is currently Ranked 23 in NCAA Division II

NCAA Division III

U of Wisc Steven Point Men’s team is ranked 10^th.

U of Wisc Steven Point Women’s team is also ranked 10^th.

St. Olaf Men are ranked 19^th

U of Wisc La Crosse Women are ranked 19^th.
