Thursday is the Prelims of Section 1AA Girls Swimming & Diving Championships. 

Any resemblance to the Section 1AA True Team Sectionals is in team name only. The goals of the meet are different, the preparation is different, and the swimmers are different. Coaches were after maximum points, scoring multiple swimmers and relays. You didn’t put together your fastest relays, you put together your highest scoring combination of swimmers in relays. 

Bottom line, swim hard. In this meet, your points come from high finishes, period. This is for all the marbles. A chance to go on, a shot at state. 

Certainly the great showing at True Team and Conference should give the Winhawks cause for optimism. 

Hold it, feed off it, make it real. You’ve trained, you’ve sweated, you sacrificed. 

Now make it pay off.
