The top swimmers from three European nations gathered to take on Team USA in the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool, December 18-19 in Manchester, England. The bi-annual Duel in the Pool is a made-for-TV event, designed to showcase the sport’s most exciting swimmers in non-Olympic years. This year’s Duel took on a new format with Team USA facing a team comprised of the top swimmers from Great Britain, Germany and Italy. The event will be held at the Manchester Aquatic Centre and a two-hour broadcast of the event will air on NBC.

Thanks Craig for the great report on the Winona YMCA swim team vs. White Bear Lake. Lots of fast times are fun to read about. I enjoy reading about all the different kids participating in the great sport of swimming. Good job coaches getting the kids to swim outside of their comfort zone with different events. I look forward to helping or attending one of YMCA meets this season. The high school boys were at a swim invitational in Albert Lea the same day as this meet and so I missed this one. Congrats! to the Winona Y swimmers on your swimming success.
